The Reception Area

The Reception Area

(re-cept-tion) the action of admitting someone to a place, group, or institution or the process of being admitted
Entering into a business creates a first impression of your work place.  Making a beautiful (Mooi) space is the final touch on the many layers of function that go into a reception area.
One of the most fascinating parts of Interior Design is learning everyone’s stories.  What they or their company does, why they do what they do, and how they do it.  Our understanding of your business is paramount to creating a reception area for you.  We create spaces that will function for your employees and those arriving at your place of business.  This includes the layout the furnishings and the finishes.
We have created many reception areas for commercial spaces.  Some of which are shown on this page.
Call us or fill out the contact form at the bottom of this page and we can get started on creating a reception area that suites your needs .
This Reception service counter will accommodate seated and standing clients.  Glazing provides an added measure of security while allowing visual access to the receptionist.  Though the area is small, every inch was used including the installation of a TV monitor above the reception desk that can broadcast company information clips or a running news reel.
The client required low maintenance chairs.  Wall protectors were installed to prevent the backs of the chairs from damaging the walls.  Pamphlet displays were wall mounted taking up little space yet making information readily available to clients.
A large mural was used to create the illusion of a much larger space while also providing a calm and welcome focal point for the waiting area.
A very traditional but warm waiting area that uses  a punch of vivid colour for added drama.
The adjacent spaces to the waiting area include displays and have all been finished with 100% compostable materials.  The lighting is fiber optic so as to remove any heat that could damage artifacts in the display niches.
The reception area main focal point is a commissioned art piece.
A reception station uses standard office furniture incorporated into the architecture for a custom look at a economical price.
This waiting area uses economical wall graphics as a communication tool and focal point. Low maintenance, economical seating was installed.  All doors included visual accessibility and corner guards help to maintain walls in high traffic areas.
The use of accent lighting, colour blocking and an upgraded desk panel system finishes provide aesthetic and value.
A hand sketch design thought starter concept of the Information Kiosk in a reception area.
The completed Information Kiosk project.  Revisions were made to finishes and graphics per the clients direction.
Small but effective.  Furnishings and artwork were re-puposed to create a welcome area for clients to wait.
