FAQ
What does a project consultation involve?
During a Project Consultation we meet with you, review your space discuss, what you would like to achieve and the possibilities or resctrictions of your space, situation and associated timelines.
What does it cost for your Interior Design Services?
What to Expect
Every project is unique, and we tailor our services to fit your specific needs. To get started, we’ll set up a meeting to learn more about your space, goals, and vision. From there, we’ll prepare a written proposal outlining the scope of work and our recommended services.
As a general guideline, interior design fees typically account for about 10% of the overall project cost—but we’ll provide a detailed quote based on your project’s size and complexity.
We believe in transparency and want you to feel confident and informed every step of the way.
What is meant by Project Scope?
Project scope means figuring out exactly what parts of your space and project will be worked on from start to finish. This can include things like rough sketches, detailed drawings, selecting materials and finishes, and overseeing the project to make sure everything runs smoothly.
What are Design Concepts?
A design concept is the starting point for your project—it’s how we begin to explore and visualize the look and feel of your space. Think of it as the creative direction or the “big idea” behind the design.
Sometimes it takes the form of a mood board, which is a collection of images, colours, materials, and inspiration that help communicate the overall vibe we’re going for. Other times, it might be a hand sketch of a specific item, layout, or area to show how things could come together.
It doesn’t have to be technical or complicated—it’s simply a way for us to share ideas with you early in the process so you can start to see your future space take shape.
How do you select furniture fixtures and finishes?
We’re not tied to any specific brands or suppliers, which means we can choose from a wide range of options to find what’s best for your project. When selecting furniture, fixtures, and finishes, we look at things like style, budget, durability, and how well each item will work in your space.
As industry professionals, we also have direct access to manufacturer reps, which allows us to get detailed product information and request samples—helping you make informed decisions with confidence.
What is an Interior Drawing?
Interior drawings are detailed plans that show exactly how a space will look and function once it’s built or renovated. These drawings are created using accurate computer software (we use a program called Revit) and include everything from wall layouts and furniture placement to finishes, ceiling details, and custom cabinetry. They also show where important systems—like lighting, electrical, plumbing, and heating—need to go.
Think of these drawings as a visual guide or roadmap. They help clients clearly understand the design, and they give contractors the exact information they need to quote and build it. Interior drawings save time, reduce mistakes, and are the best way to get accurate quotes for your project. They turn ideas into action—efficiently and effectively.
What does Project Management involve?
Project management is how we keep your design project on track, on time, and on budget. We handle the day-to-day coordination—like speaking with contractors, answering questions, and solving any unexpected issues that pop up along the way (like site surprises or product delays).
You won’t need to worry about the back-and-forth—we take care of that for you. You can stay focused on your work or home life, and we’ll bring you in only when important decisions need to be made, especially if they affect the budget or overall design.
