Millwork was used to create a storage platform area is designed to allow the dryer to vent to the exterior, a space to store and easily access laundry baskets and additional storage above. Consideration had be given to the existing window location and the edge finish of the countertop.
Existing window location did not allow for cabinets to be placed under the window. Millwork was also used to create a window seat. Storage was built into the window seat and accommodation was given to a supply air vent in the kick space. The adjacent storage cabinet is for dishware.
